I realized that I have been using names in my posts as if everyone who reads them will know how I’m talking about. This would be fine, except that I am mostly not using real names. Fortunately, it is highly likely that everyone who reads my blog knows me well enough to know what I’m talking about. But who knows, perhaps someday this blog will become read by at least one stranger. With that in mind, here are the characters:
- Father or Dad or Father Alpha: My biological father.
- Father Beta: His husband (because my state is better than yours).
- The Fathers: Both of them.
- The Mother: My biological and only Mother.
- The Parents: The Fathers and The Mother.
- The GParents: My maternal grandparents. Not affiliated with the FBI or Gordon Freeman.
- The GF/Fiancee/Wife (website): My lovely and delightful girlfriend (update: fiancee!) (update: wife!). Currently in medical school at UTSW in Dallas.
- Stoz or Brother Stoz ( website): My younger (not -est) brother.
- Sqm, Squam, or Brother Sqm: My youngest (of two youngers) brother. Pronounce it “squaw-m”.
- The Bros or Brothers: Both of them.
- The Brothers ASS: All three of us (our first initials, in birth order, spell “ass”). Also accurate since we are all three ordained ministers (I’m referring to the “Brothers” part (Okay, I’m referring to both parts)).
- Woody(website): The high school friend I keep in most contact with. The only character, besides the cats and myself, that has a real name on this site. Currently adventuring in Asia.
- Yoshi, Yoshman, or The Yosh: The GF’s and my giant cat. Moved out to the country to kill mice.
- Ninja: My replacement for the Yosh, a bengal/maine coon mix. He’s a bamfy, whiny biotch.
- Nukat: Pronounced “New cat” (clever, huh?). I needed a companion for Ninja, and such is Nukat.
- Kati: Companion of the Yosh, now deceased.
